The Information Systems Technology Associate in Science (A.S.) degree provides the necessary coursework to enable the graduate to administer and manage local area networks, as well as wide area networks in multiple environments and learn to create and maintain database objects and to store, retrieve and manipulate data.

This program prepares graduates for roles as network administrators, network designers, network integrators and network analysts in the enterprise environment or for transfer into the Bachelor of Science, Information Systems Technology.
The A.S. Degree in Information Systems Technology (IST) was designed to prepare students to either directly enter the workforce or pursue the new B.S. Degree in Information Systems Technology at Seminole State College. All of the prerequisite courses for the B.S. IST Degree are core courses in the A.S. IST Degree program. As a result, students are well prepared to pursue their bachelor's degree.
