The Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Accounting Technology provides a strategic combination of coursework in accounting, business and general education courses. Higher level accounting courses, an application-driven curriculum and opportunities for relevant internships provide students a comprehensive understanding of cost, intermediate and tax accounting. This degree prepares graduates to enter the field of business and accounting in roles including managers, tax professionals, payroll accountants, staff accountants and accounting system technicians. This degree also prepares graduates to continue their education in the Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) degree program offered by the University of Central Florida and other state universities.
