IND 3470 - Survey of Materials II: Building Components

This course emphasizes the understanding and design of standard building components such as wall systems and their finishes, ceiling types and systems, building glazing systems and fenestration, science of acoustics and their effect on the built environment. Lectures and field trips are included to illustrate concepts. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and life safety components are presented as they relate to interiors.

Prerequisites: IND 1423 and IND 1404C.
