Reference USA

Reference USA is an extensive database that can be used to gather contact information and general knowledge on employers throughout the United States. This software is available for Seminole State students on a walk-in basis at the Career Development Center on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, in Room C-104. Students can also access Reference USA from home by registering with MYSCCareer Source and accessing Reference USA from the "Other Resources" option on the menu bar.

Students can use Reference USA to:

• Utilize categories or SIC codes to research companies in specific industries.
• Narrow searches based on geography (state, city, county, zip code, metro area and area code) and  business size (number of employees, sales volume).
• Obtain detailed information that includes a business' size (the number of employees and estimated sales), credit rating, ticker symbol and more. 
• Download information on employers that can be downloaded into a Microsoft Excel document and saved to disk.
