Become a Mentor

Become a Mentor for Seminole State Students

Being a mentor can involve as much or as little time as you have to give. Once you are registered as a mentor, Seminole State students will be able to contact you for career advice, professional guidance, etc. It is possible to limit the number of student contacts you receive each month, so your commitment aligns with your busy schedule. If there are periods when you are extremely busy and unable to provide this mentor support, simply contact the Career Development Center and request that your account be flagged as inactive until you request otherwise.

Below is a list of mentoring services for which you are able to register. It is possible to select only the mentoring services you are interested in providing.

  • E-mail Networking with Students
  • Informational Interviewing (approximately a one-hour commitment)
  • Job Shadowing (approximately a one-day commitment)
  • Mock Interviewing (approximately a one-hour commitment)
