Roger Portman

Roger H. Portman, Ph.D., MBA, Adjunct Professor

Roger H. Portman has more than 30 years of industry experience working for large and small medical corporations, and his areas of expertise include new business development, new product marketing, financial analysis and long-range strategic planning. Throughout his career, Dr. Portman he has worked for major companies, including  Johnson & Johnson and Syncor International, where he served as the director of new business development. Prior to that, he was the vice president for the consulting division of biomedical business international, where he directed more than 40 proprietary consulting projects for domestic and international medical companies. He has also owned a number of small businesses in California and Florida.

Dr. Portman educational credentials include a B.S. degree in chemistry from Marquette University, a Ph.D. in chemistry from Penn State University and an MBA degree in finance from the University of California at Berkeley.
