Hugh J. Moore, Adjunct Professor

Hugh J. Moore is a senior-level business executive who is experienced in the telecommunications and technical industry for organization and service delivery. His expertise includes global business development and operations for a multinational Fortune 500 conglomerate.

Focusing on facilitating global and national business relationships that enhance customer-orientated process improvements and yield significant value-added services in a re-engineered infrastructure, Moore operates on the principal that strong partnering between business areas improves sales operations, which greatly improves customer satisfaction and allows sales and marketing to realize increased market penetration.

Moore has held senior positions as a CIO, as well as in customer and technical services, installation, product launch, project management and logistics.

Moore's education includes honors-level degrees in electrical/electronic engineering from Southampton University and a master's in telecommunications from Aston University -- both in the United Kingdom. He was a co-founder of the Central Florida Chapter of the Society for Information and re-voted its president from 2005-07. Additionally, Moore's interests in business partnerships, technology and community education have won him community awards and recognition, including nominations for:

  • "CIO of the Year in Central Florida 2000/2001" by the high-tech industry in recognition of the development and assisting of a CIO group for Florida IT and community relations.
  • Chairman of the Central Florida IT Consortium under O-Force (workforce development between business and education).
  • Steering Committee member of the Office of Resources for Business & Industry Training (ORBIT) at the University of Central Florida and a member for business technology course content for Seminole State College.
