Herman Miedema, Adjunct Professor

Herman Miedema joined Seminole State College in 2006 and serves as its associate director of finance and accounting. He is a Chicago native who has held senior executive positions in the consumer electronics industry with corporations, such as International Jensen Inc., Recoton and Audiovox.

Miedema earned an Associate in Science degree in electronics engineering from the DeVry Institute of Technology, and, after serving for two years in the U.S. Marine Corps, he later returned to school and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management from the University of Illinois-Chicago and an MBA from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., with a dual major in operations management and marketing.
