Michael Mainelli, Adjunct Professor

Michael MainelliMichael Mainelli is the president and CEO of Active Implants Corporation, an early-stage medical technology company. He was formerly an executive officer for Stryker Corporation, serving as president of Stryker Spine; president of Stryker Japan; and vice president of corporate development and assistant to the chairman for nearly a decade.

Prior to joining Stryker, Mainelli was a marketing and product management executive in the global magnetic resonance business at GE Medical Systems, now called GE Healthcare. He also spent 12 years with GE in a series of operating roles of increasing responsibility.

Mainelli serves on the board of directors of Orthofix International, a publicly-traded leading medical device company; and Autocam Corporation, a privately-held leading supplier of precision machined products for the automotive and medical device markets.

He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago; an MSE from the University of Pennsylvania; and a BSME from Northeastern University.
