Dr. Jonathan Green is the Legal Studies Program manager and a professor in business law and legal studies at Seminole State College, where he began his teaching and writing career in 1998. From 1998 to 2000, he taught as an adjunct professor at Seminole State, teaching business law, and the University of Central Florida, teaching political science courses. Since 2000, Dr. Green has been a full-time professor of legal studies at Seminole State; he became the manager for the Legal Studies Program in 2006.

For more than 20 years prior to his capacities at Seminole State, Dr. Green practiced law in Central Florida, primarily in the areas of business, corporate, real property and construction law and civil litigation, including appellate litigation. He has also served in virtually all capacities in law offices, from that of runner/messenger in his early teens to legal assistant and law clerk while in college and law school.

As a practicing attorney, Dr. Green employed, managed and trained many legal assistants, paralegals and law clerks in all phases of law practice, including, but not limited to, substantive law areas, legal research, law office management and economics, and professional responsibility.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in political science with honors from the UCF in 1973 (then known as Florida Technical University), Green pursued a law degree at the University of Florida College of Law and earned his Juris Doctorate with honors in 1976.

Dr. Green resides in West Volusia County with his wife and son, three dogs, 17 fish, two bullfrogs and one crafty raccoon.
