Bachelor of Applied Science, Interior Design
Interior designers are qualified by education, experience and professional licensure to enhance an environment’s function, safety and overall appeal. The professional interior designer is integral in the planning, design and construction of today’s complex built environments and collaborates with architects, engineers, general contractors and other professionals.
Seminole State College’s Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Interior Design is the only four-year public program in Central Florida. The art-based curriculum combines design concepts and social-science philosophies with the technical skills that are required of the profession. Once you complete the degree and two years of work experience under a licensed interior designer or architect, you will be eligible to take the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) exam for state licensure.
