Did you know...Graduates of Seminole State's Automotive Training Program have moved on to successful, high-paying careers. |
Automotive Service Technology Program
Classroom instruction is combined with structured laboratories that give students hands-on training with the latest model cars using the tools and techniques employed in the automotive repair industry. Training encompasses the operation and service of all automobile systems, and it includes the maintenance and overhaul of automobile engines, brakes, steering, electrical systems, transmissions, and heating and air conditioning systems. Students who earn an ASTP vocational certificate can continue their education at Seminole State and work toward an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Automotive Technology or enter the automotive field as entry-level technicians. Career opportunities are excellent for graduates of this program. Seminole State’s automotive programs are highly regarded in Central Florida, and most graduates find employment in the area upon or before graduation. Technicians are in demand nationwide as well.
