Greater Orlando Start! Heart Walk

Several Seminole State athletes — including the entire Raider women's golf team — participated in the American Heart Association's Greater Orlando Start! Heart Walk on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Orlando's Loch Haven Park. The event raised more than $1 million in support of cardiovascular disease research and awareness. The Seminole State Athletics Department raised $1,150 toward the College's $15,000 goal.

Give Kids the World

Seminole State golfers celebrated the holidays a few months early with Give Kids the World, a nonprofit resort that creates memorable experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses. On Oct. 1, 2009, the Lady Raiders participated in the organization's weekly Christmas festivities by dressing in costumes, baking cookies and marching in a parade through the village streets.
