Greater Orlando Start! Heart Walk
Several Seminole State athletes — including the entire Raider women's golf team — participated in the American Heart Association's Greater Orlando Start! Heart Walk on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Orlando's Loch Haven Park. The event raised more than $1 million in support of cardiovascular disease research and awareness. The Seminole State Athletics Department raised $1,150 toward the College's $15,000 goal.

Give Kids the World
Seminole State golfers celebrated the holidays a few months early with Give Kids the World, a nonprofit resort that creates memorable experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses. On Oct. 1, 2009, the Lady Raiders participated in the organization's weekly Christmas festivities by dressing in costumes, baking cookies and marching in a parade through the village streets.

New Smyrna Beach Cleanup
The Lady Raiders spent Sept. 19, 2009, cleaning up New Smyrna Beach. The team picked up garbage along a stretch of shoreline, which helped enhance the area's natural beauty and protect the habitat of several wildlife species.

"Splash into Science!" Elementary School Science Night
On Sept. 29, 2008, the Lady Raiders softball and golf teams traveled to Walker Elementary School in Chuluota for an educational festival for children and their families. While there, the student-athletes helped participants complete a variety of science-related projects and activities.
