Raider baseball has had a long and victorious history at Seminole State, earning multiple trips to the Florida Community College Activities Association State Tournament, as well as a JUCO World Series appearance in 2003. Seminole State baseball players are also recognized each year for their contributions to the team, earning All-Conference, All-State and All-American honors. Head Coach Chris Hayes brings tremendous passion and work ethic to Seminole State. A former assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Jacksonville University, he is committed to keeping Seminole State at the top of Florida baseball and helping players move to the next level. Hayes is only the fourth coach in Raider history, succeeding Mike Nicholson, who was promoted to assistant director of athletics in 2008. Raider home games are played at Jack Pantelias Field on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. Seminole State is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I and the Florida Community College Activities Association's Mid-Florida Conference. Scholarships for student-athletes, including tuition, books and — in some cases — housing, are available. Fall World Series set for Nov. 12-14 (Nov. 6, 2009) The Raiders will mark the end of their 2009 exhibition season with a three-game intrasquad competition on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. Read more. Raiders sell tickets for a 'Night with the Magic' (Nov. 1, 2009) Discounted tickets are available for the Orlando Magic's Nov. 18 home game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
