Brain BowlDo you enjoy games like Jeopardy! and Trivial Pursuit? If so, Brain Bowl might be for you! Each year, two Seminole State teams consisting of five members each (four players and an alternate) compete in the areas of math, science, humanities and social sciences at academic quiz competitions around Florida. In February, the teams face off against other community colleges in a regional tournament. The first- and second-place teams from this competition advance to the state tournament, which takes place in March. Brain Bowl membership is open to all Seminole State students. It is a great way to get involved, meet new friends, increase your knowledge (and possibly your grades), and potentially earn a scholarship. Remember: As a Brain Bowl member, you are only one part of a team. You do not need to know everything about every subject to participate. PracticesBrain Bowl practices for the 2009-10 academic year are held at the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. Depending on team member preference, they may also be held at other Seminole State campuses.
