Seminole State’s Fine Arts Gallery is proud to present six exhibitions every season that showcase works by Seminole State students and faculty, as well as nationally renowned artists. With paintings, prints, sculptures, ceramics, photography and more on display, the Fine Arts Gallery adds a variety of stylized culture to the campus experience.
Exhibitions are free and open to the public during regular hours of operation.

The exhibit season opens with still-life oil paintings by Lee Andrew Bianco, a member of The Copley Society, a renowned invitation-only Boston artists guild and gallery.

Oct. 2-30, 2014
Steven Labadessa, studio art instructor at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana, pursues “severe beauty” in his collection of oil paintings and graphite and color pencil drawings. He has exhibited nationally in group and solo exhibits and is the recipient of various awards, including the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship.

The exhibit is an overview of the work by studio faculty of Seminole State’s Fine Arts Department. This exhibit will represent the wide variety of materials used by the artists, whose personal experience directly benefits their students.

The abstract landscape oil paintings of Michael Fowler present the “harmonies of color and shape.” Mr. Fowler teaches at the University of South Carolina Aiken.

Seminole State Fine Arts faculty member draws upon ancient folklore, “trickster” tales and mythologies to create striking imagery. Professor Vienneau earned his MFA from Southern Illinois University.

The Fine Arts Department closes its season with a juried selection of work executed during the past year by Seminole State Fine Arts students. Media include: photography, painting, printmaking, drawing, mixed-media, ceramics and sculpture.
