Seminole State Advance is designed to strengthen the math abilities of students who are seeking careers in science, engineering or mathematics. Seminole State Advance promotes strong mathematical foundations for students by emphasizing real-world applications of mathematics in various scientific fields.

Seminole State Advance offers students:

• College-credit math applications courses team-taught by members of the College's math and science faculties, available only to Seminole State Advance students.
• Students receive exclusive access to free, on-campus math tutoring by math/science University of Central Florida graduate and upperclassmen students.
• Consistent and continuous advising by an academic adviser who has been specifically selected to work closely with the Seminole State Advance students and faculty members.

Seminole State Advance is for: 

• Current or incoming Seminole State math, science or engineering students, who must at least take Calculus I (MAC 2311).
  and
• Students who are currently in one of the following courses:
  • College Algebra (MAC 1105)
  • Trigonometry (MAC 1114)
  • Pre-Calculus Algebra (MAC 1140)
  and
  
• Students who wish to meet other Seminole State math/science students to become a part of a learning community
