However, if it is, I would trust that we can prevail upon them to return for a celebration of all that they have brought to the Board. CongratulationsPlease join me in congratulating Chris Dorworth and Rob Fulbright, SCC Foundation Board, on being named by the Orlando Business Journal to this year's "40 Under 40" list. This list recognizes "The top 40 most successful people in Central Florida under the age of 40." Congratulations to Rick Lee for his election to the SCC Foundation Board. Rick, we plan to continue to put your "Big Banker" skills to good use for the College! Congratulations to Frank Ioppolo! Frank was selected as one of Florida's Super Lawyers for Securities and Corporate Finance. The selection was made by his peers, as more than 44,000 ballots were sent to lawyers throughout the state. Congratulations, Frank! Interior Design AwardsThe National Kitchen & Bath Association has recognized SCC's Interior Design Program as a premier program to educate students to be the "finest kitchen and bath professionals." Congratulations to Jill Smith, our Interior Design faculty and the students for achieving this recognition. July Board MeetingThanks to the Board for honoring the Faculty Senate's request to change the Board meeting to a night session and move it back to the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. I know that this required some of you to change your schedules. Since you have been talking about holding your Board meeting at the Economic Development Center at Heathrow since last January, we will plan toward July. |
