Dr. James D. Henningsen

Vice President, Student Success/Chief Student Affairs Officer

Dr. James D. Henningsen joined Seminole State as Vice President for Student Success in 2004. As the Vice President, Dr. Henningsen is responsible for creating a learning environment that promotes the academic, personal and social development of students. He also provides leadership and coordination to ensure that the highest quality of student support services are available to students from the time they first interact with the College prior to admission through program completion.

Dr. Henningsen earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida; his MBA from UCF; and his B.A. in economics and geography from the University of Vermont. He has more than 14 years experience in community college institutional research. Most recently, Dr. Henningsen served as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Data Services at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
