Additional awards are planned for the fall, with a request for applications expected to be sent collegewide in October. For more information, please call Maureen Preuss at 407.708.2429.
Evolution of Seminole State’s Website
Seminole State’s website is about to undergo the most comprehensive change undertaken by the College in more than 10 years. Our College Relations and Marketing and CTS WebSupport constituents have been working for many months to create a new adaptive website that will now work for mobile devices and tablets as well as desktop computers. The new site is scheduled to be launched on July 15. Even as you become familiar with the many new components of the website, please be aware that all Seminole State website users will continue to see constant modifications and improvements in content and navigation on a permanent, ongoing basis, as today’s most successful websites must continuously improve in functionality and user experience.
Requests for Advanced Education Plan
Seminole State College values knowledge and encourages employees to pursue advanced education. Prior to beginning any course of study, any eligible employee may initiate an application by completing the appropriate sections of the attached Request for Advanced Education Form, and submitting it through supervisory channels to the Office of Human Resources. Employees currently pursuing an advanced degree have until Thursday, July 11, 2013 to submit a Request for Advanced Education Form. As a reminder, those employees who obtained an advanced degree beyond their job requirements between Dec. 3, 2012 (the date the Policy was adopted by the Board of Trustees) and April 5, 2013 (the effective date of this new procedure) also have until July 11, 2013 to notify the Office of Human Resources and present official, certified transcripts to request a compensation adjustment in accordance with the Procedure and the related Policy. If you have questions, please contact Chris Chellberg, compensation manager, or Brenda Thacker, records and reporting manager.
