With mandatory pension changes becoming effective this month, Seminole State employees will see the changes reflected in July's pay check. Major construction has been completed in the renovation of the top floor of building L on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. Painting and other finishing touches on the interior will take place throughout the rest of July. After installation of new furniture and fixtures, scheduled for early August, the building will open for occupancy, and classes will be held in the 22 new classrooms beginning in the Fall Term. The Executive Team will host an open house in late August for all College employees to tour the new third floor. Please look for more specifics about this open house in next month's "First Wednesday" update.
Congratulations to the 23 faculty and staff members who have been named to the Seminole State Leadership Academy for the 2011-12 academic year. They will be participating in seven sessions designed to enhance their leadership development and to better acquaint them with the many components of the College.
