Next week, the College will begin the summer 4-day class and work weeks. Please refer to the attached document from Human Resource for complete details on work week schedules at Seminole State during the summer months. Five-day work weeks will resume in August.
Three Seminole State faculty have been awarded Endowed Teaching Chairs. Congratulations to professors Bobbie Bell, Jeri Rogers and Mati San-Andres. They have distinguished themselves with their excellence in teaching. They will be recognized during this Friday's Spring Commencement Ceremony, and will each receive a $5,000 Endowed Teaching Chair award from the Foundation for Seminole State College.
Applications are being accepted for the 2010-11 Leadership Academy, comprised of 20-25 faculty and staff members who will participate in 7 all-day leadership development sessions from September 2010 through March 2011. The 2010-11 application form and a fact sheet are attached. Applications will be accepted through June 1st so that the next class may be announced by the end of Term IIIA. At 10 a.m. on Monday, May 24, the College will again test our Emergency Notification System for about 90 seconds at the College's four campuses. Here's what you can expect:
The Emergency Response Team (ERT) will observe and learn from the results of this test conducted during morning classes for the first time. Additional reminders about this test will be sent to employees and students several days in advance.
