First Wednesday Update: April 7, 2010New Name BadgesOur College bookstore will be the initial source for ordering employee name badges bearing the new Seminole State College name and logo. Due to the high volume of name tags that need to be initially produced, departments should coordinate their orders to include all current employees. The bookstore requests that the department designee send an e-mail containing all employee names along with a purchase order number. Please e-mail Pat Brown or Donna Collins with your initial order. Service Recognition and Retiree LuncheonThis Friday, April 9, an inaugural Service Recognition and Retiree Luncheon will be held for Seminole State faculty and staff members who have reached a service milestone year of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35 years during the previous calendar year. This Friday's luncheon will recognize the 104 College employees who reached such a milestone anniversary between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2009. Additionally, the 10 Seminole State constituents retiring during the 2009-10 academic year will be recognized at the luncheon, including Cathie Boyers, Bennie Deese, Lillie Fenderson, Barbara Hunnicutt, Nelda Malm, Kenna Noone-Kirkpatrick, Johnnie Newsome, Annye Refoe, Christopher Robbins and Jill Smith. Attached is a complete list of all faculty and staff who will be recognized this Friday for their years of service. Please congratulate them and let them know how much their longtime, dedicated service to our students and our College is appreciated. SCC-fl.edu To Be Eliminated On The InternetOur College's former "scc-fl.edu" address will become obsolete, effective at midnight on April 12. Please verify and update all references and address book entries to reflect the change to our new domain name: seminolestate.edu. All class rosters, Angel and Sakai will be programmatically updated to reflect the e-mail address change for students. If you have any questions, please contact the Help Desk at ext. 2000.
