Charles "Chick" Gregg was appointed by Governor Charlie Crist to Seminole State's Board of Trustees for a term beginning Aug. 17, 2007, and ending May 31, 2011. Gregg is the president of Greater Properties, Inc., which is a group that serves as the owner and developer of commercial rental properties and vacant land in Seminole, Orange, Lake and Polk counties. He is the former president and chief operating officer of Greater Homes, Inc., and currently serves on the Board of Overseers of the Roy E. Crummer School of Business at Rollins College. No stranger to Seminole State, Gregg served on the Seminole State College Foundation Board from 1999-2007 as the vice-chairman from 2000-2002 and as chairman from 2002-2004. Gregg also served on the Leesburg City Commission from 1978-1984 and served as Mayor of Leesburg in 1980 and 1983. Gregg also served on the Lake County Commission from 1988-1992 and chaired the Commission in 1989. Gregg earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida. He also earned his master's degree in Business Administration from the Crummer Business School of Rollins College. He and his wife, Elisa, reside in Longwood and have three children and two grandchildren. |
